A note on the standards of conduct expected of those who use the list

We expect those who use the list to be polite, tolerant and generous. There is no place here for sexism, racism, or for discrimination on the basis of sexual preference or religion. If you disagree with something someone has written, write a well-thought out response - not a flame. People who are persistently rude, abusive, or who misuse the list (by spamming or sending messages that don't relate to the topics under discussion) will be removed from the list without debate. We hope this can be a comfortable but challenging 'place' where people can share, learn and grow. People who write messages are asked to try to keep an eye on how they write, and use non-gender specific language wherever possible. If you post your work to the list looking for feedback or criticism, be aware that people may be quite honest and pointed in what they say. If you give feedback or criticism, be honest, but be aware of the way in which you would like to receive feedback or criticism about your work.

as written, write a well-thought out response - not a flame. Try to write well, and if you're not keen on your spelling, run your spell-checker through your message. If you give feedback or criticism, be honest, but be aware of the way in which you would like to receive feedback or criticism about your work.
